Not sure why this is in the Latrine?
It’s kind of a “truth bomb” in the sense that there are many different facets coming together in that one chart. That’s by design in my view, and exactly the kind of impact the chart creator wanted to have. (neither good nor bad, just intense)
If a person has already explored many of these concepts and agrees, no problem. If a person has not, they’re going to be presented with too much information at once that disagrees with their world view. They will short circuit, reject the information, and have an emotional response. This is most of what you see happening online right now between the left and the right - two groups that have come to a different understanding of history, and a different understanding of the present moment. They can’t understand each other in the short, rapid fire format that’s becoming popular. So they just continue talking past each other asserting “my reality is right” “no, mine is right”.
The purpose of The County Fence is to build prosperity and resilience in Delta County. So how do we create the right environment that will help people focus their energies on what is within their sphere of influence?
