AI Generated Text Should Be Named As Such

Any AI generated text you post must be preceded by a citation with the model name and the query you used to generate the response.

Posting AI generated content without citation will be considered plagiarism, and could result in deletion of your post, and penalties against your account for repeated offenses.

In general you can bring up AI conversation as something to talk about, but you should not let it replace your own voice.

AI generated text is still usually very easy for us to spot. Both spammers and malicious trolls are make use of these tools to attack public forums. We cannot distinguish people who do not believe they’re causing any harm by using these tools from people using them maliciously. Posting walls of verbose text written in the tone of an expert by an AI with no actual understanding involved is harmful to our community. It wastes the time of moderators, developers and community members along with misleading people. People shouldn’t have to waste their time responding to machine generated nonsense which comes across as a very serious but very misguided post.

Suspensions for violating this rule will be permanent if the content wasn’t marked as AI generated. These AI text generation tools are essentially optimized for generating plausible sounding misinformation and their use will be treated as malicious deception. People invest a lot of time helping others in this community and do not want to waste their time responding to machine generated nonsense.

This should be a global rule.

I can tell with text for the most part, but video is going to be a real problem.

You mean like this?

PLEASE! No AI text at ALL! We want real, human voices…and although good writing is nicer to read than not-so-good writing, I personally will happily accept ALL writing composed by a human, compared to an AI generated story.
