Do you believe we have secure elections?

Not just Delta County but all over the US the Deep State thugs install officials and tell us we elected them. My opinion is based on my gut and watching what has happened to our country.
Will we the People stand up and fight for honest elections? What about the machines? I think we should get them out and go back to paper ballots and same day voting in person.
Let me know where you stand?

I agree. Voter ID, same day voting in person with paper ballots and hand counted. No mail in except for military, college kids and special situations. That would stop almost all the fraud,

In 2016 I canvassed for Bernie Sanders. After spending effort on his campaign it was really disheartening to learn that:

  1. The AZ county clerk had reduced the number of polling stations. She caught huge flak for this. Hillary was a more well known name and she was known to lead more strongly in the mail in ballots.
  2. The DNC emails were leaked, revealing they directly and intentionally colluded to get Hillary into the nomination.
  3. Stanford did a study showing that Hillary’s results were noticeably higher in districts that used voting machines with known vulnerabilities.

More recently the DNC pulled their dirty tricks on Robert F Kennedy this last year in 2024. I don’t know why he thought it would be otherwise to be honest. Maybe he wasn’t paying attention when it happened to Bernie?

The courts have ruled that the DNC has the right to arbitrarily select whatever candidate they want. So as far as primaries go in the Democratic party - they’re not even pretending to care about what their voting base wants.

This is how Tulsi Gabbord, Robert F Kennedy, Elon Musk, Bret Weinstein, Jimmy Dore - all people who are traditionally democrats - ended up supporting Trump, because while their own party threw them under the bus for telling the truth, Trump offered them an opportunity to help him “drain the swamp” a second go round. Even Trump himself was not a Republican until he decided to stage a populist uprising within the party.

I think your question pertains to general elections, but unfortunately the vulnerabilities I described above are all present there as well.

Here’s what I would want to see with regards to election integrity:

  • Reverse Citizens United, the Supreme Court ruling that corporations are people and donating money to PACs is “free speech”, thereby allowing unlimited sums of money into the political process.
  • Build voting systems that are cryptographically certified, and verifiable by the voter. No more black box voting systems with known vulnerabilities.
  • Make sure there are enough polling stations.
  • Do something about gerrymandering.

Why haven’t these things happened already? We were talking about this when I was in high school, over 20 years ago.

In my view, the reason they’re not fixing these things is because there’s a tremendous amount of money and power to be gained by making sure they stay broken.

I’m very hopeful though. This seems like a window of opportunity where we have rightfully put people into power who want to restore integrity. It is a very good time for “we the people” to do our parts and work with those elected leaders.

Good to hear a Democrats view point. Sadly, I believe mostly all elections are rigged from President right down county offices.
Banana Republic Swamp VS. We The People!
I’m also hopeful with the new administration but there are some things we can do to help, a handful of us from Delta County have joined a group called the War Council. Together we will fight for election integrity in each county of Colorado.
I’ll post some information about it if anyone is interested?
If we don’t get honest and clean elections our Constitution and our God given rights will disappear.

At this point I don’t consider myself to be a Democrat or a Republican. I want the system to work more for the people, regardless of the leaders we elect.

Bernie at one time represented a populist uprising within the left. And many of the people who supported Bernie now support Trump.

I feel like a lot of the disconnect between Republicans and Democrats is because the former tend to live in the country, and the latter in the city. The realities of their daily lives are totally different, and it’s natural that they should want different things.

When we try to apply a “1 size fits all” solution at the Federal level, it’s bound to create conflicts. I think a lot of these conflicts can be resolved by bringing the decision to a “lesser magistrate” - find the granularity where people actually do agree on something. And if you can’t, maybe the government shouldn’t be doing anything about that at all?

Yes to election integrity. That is worth fighting for! I would love to see what Tina Peters has uncovered. Is there any effort/movement to simply ask for the release of her evidence to the public?
