A Love Letter to my Neighbors
No matter who you vote for,
Or what car you drive.
No matter what you hope for,
Together, we can thrive.
No matter to what God you pray,
Or if you pray to none.
I recognize the light in you,
Together, we are one.
If I can see myself in you,
And likewise you in me.
There’ll be unity in community ~
Together, we’ll be free.
When there’s no need to make you wrong,
Or prove that I am right.
We’ll set aside our ego pride,
Relinquish mental fight.
If all I have’s a point of view,
No position to defend.
Receiving without judgement ~
Is my gift to you, my friend.
We’ll see the truth, uplift our youth,
To know their inner power.
All is clear beyond the fear,
Yet to come, our finest hour.
We’ll go inside, no longer hide
And listen to our hearts
Enjoy the beauty of the ride
When inner-standing starts.
While honoring uniqueness,
The joy of being you and me.
We open doors of consciousness,
Awareness is our key.
Now we choose, the kind of world
Our children will inherit.
One where human value’s
based on love, not techno-merit.
Solutions, contributions,
We release the hidden tether.
Endless possibility is ~
What we create together.
