This is an opportunity for seniors to be treated as royalty and experience “food as ally, food as medicine” and the company of other people who appreciate it. You will get to experience a banquet of choices suitable for vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and carnivores, gluten and dairy free and all major dietary styles:
- highly nutritious soups cooked to perfection
- local seasonal vegetables in salads, roasted, pureed, many unique cooked dishes
- organic poultry, beef, lamb from local family farms
- sustainably fished seafood
- naturally leavened bread
- natural probiotic ferments including pickles and kimchi
- flavor and nutritional combinations from macrobiotic and Chinese 5 elements cooking
All foods are made from scratch into variations on familiar favorites as well as new and unique dishes. You will feel your body health and clarity of mind supported by the food, and you can talk to us to find out more about where the food was sourced and how it is made.
The events marked in yellow will be at local farms, where we will get a tour of the farm and maybe an activity as well. The events marked in pink are at the Old River Trading Post, and we will have a guest speaker at each one.
Guests arrive at 11:30 AM when we will do our farm tour and/or speaker presentation. Food will be served at 1:00 PM.
